Brushless motor

Brushless Motor is a type of electric motor that is characterized by the absence of brushes (carbon brushes), which are commonly present in traditional DC motors. Instead, it utilizes brushless technology, allowing for smoother and more efficient operation. Popular brands of Brushless motors in airsoft include Warhead motors (Black and Ronin are top-tier) or Specna Arms with their Dark Matter motors, or the cost-effective T238.
And of course, they are available with us!

Advantages of Brushless Motors over standard carbon motors:

a) Higher efficiency: Brushless motors have lower friction and thermal losses, leading to higher efficiency and longer motor life.

b) Greater power: Due to the absence of brushes and the use of electronic control, brushless motors are capable of providing higher power at the same or lower current.

c) Smoother operation: Brushless motors have linear response and minimize shocks and vibrations during operation.

d) Lower maintenance: Due to the absence of brushes, there is no need to change or clean them regularly, reducing maintenance costs and increasing reliability.

e) Faster response: Electronic control of brushless motors allows for faster and more precise response to changes in input conditions, so after pressing the trigger, the motor shoots faster.

Example of using brushless motors in AEG airsoft guns:

In AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) airsoft guns, brushless motors can be used as the driving unit for the gearbox. Due to their higher efficiency and power, brushless motors can improve the overall performance of the gun, increase rate of fire, and shorten the response time between pressing the trigger and firing. This allows players to achieve higher accuracy and rate of fire.
However, the main advantage is also longer battery life, for example, with a Brushless motor, a battery 11.1V - 1000 mAh lasts 5800 shots, while with a classic ASG 30k 1300 shots.
