Magnifier

Magnifier is a magnifying add-on mounted behind a red dot sight, allowing you to quickly switch between non-magnified and magnified views (the reticle of the red dot is projected through the magnifier). The most common option is 3x magnification, but you can also find 2x, 4x, or even 6x versions. Of course, you can also find magnifiers on our webshop.

How Does a Magnifier Work?

A magnifier itself does not have a reticle — the aiming point is still generated by the red dot sight. The magnifier simply enlarges the image and the dot. Mounted on a flip-to-side or QD (quick detach) mount, the magnifier can be quickly flipped in or out of the sight line, letting you seamlessly switch between CQB and longer-range engagements.

Advantages of Using a Magnifier

  • Versatility: Instantly switch between close and mid-range without changing optics.
  • Lighter than a riflescope: Keeps your weapon lightweight and maneuverable with a red dot setup.
  • Consistent aiming point: You still use the same red dot — nothing changes in terms of zero.

Disadvantages of a Magnifier

  • Limited magnification: Usually maxes out at 3x, which is less than most riflescopes — but ideal for airsoft.
  • Accuracy depends on the red dot: If your red dot doesn't have a fine dot (e.g., 2 MOA), magnification can make it look fuzzy.
  • Mount height must match: The red dot and magnifier must align perfectly on the same optical axis.
