Vz. 95

The uniform pattern Vz. 95 is the all-military uniform of the Army of the Czech Republic. It was introduced in 1995 and is still in use today with minor modifications. Pattern 95 itself has four variants - summer, mountain, desert and winter. You will probably see the summer variant most often. This consists of four colours - black, brown, dark green and light green. This colour combination was chosen because these colours are predominant in the country during the summer season (vegetation, soil).

The shape of the spots was designed so that the spots provide an optical distortion of shapes such as the human body. Pattern 95 also excels in its repeatability. The repeatability of a camouflage pattern means after how long it takes to repeat the print on the fabric. Repetition should not happen on the longest parts of the outfit, as the same shapes are not normally repeated in nature.
