XT60 is a high-performance, low-loss electrical connector designed for high currents, originally developed for RC modeling (drones, RC cars, airplanes). Thanks to its reliability, robustness, and minimal power loss, it has also made its way into airsoft, especially for high-performance replicas using Li-Po or LiHV batteries. XT60 is the most powerful and most reliable connector used in airsoft. While Tamiya belongs to the past and T-Dean represents the current standard, XT60 is the choice for the most demanding players and heavy upgrade builds including DSG and TSG setups, where every detail in performance and reliability counts.

XT60 in airsoft:
- Most often used in top-tier upgraded replicas where maximum performance and efficiency are required.
- Handles currents of up to 60 A and more safely, preventing overheating or power loss during rapid fire or when using stronger motors and springs.
- Compared to common connectors, it provides stable power supply to ETU units (GATE, Jefftron, Perun), where reliable contact is absolutely critical.
Comparison with other connectors:
- Tamiya: An outdated standard in basic AEGs. It has higher resistance, overheats at higher currents, and is not suitable for modern Li-Po batteries.
- T-Dean (Deans, T-Plug): Significantly better than Tamiya – lower resistance, more compact size, suitable for most high-performance AEGs. The current standard.
- XT60: Even more robust than T-Dean, designed specifically for extreme loads and long-term reliability. Thanks to larger contacts, it provides even lower losses and longer lifespan.

XT60 efficiency:
- Minimal resistance: Maximum energy transfer from the battery to the motor.
- Reduced heating: Even during long bursts, the contacts do not overheat.
- Reliability: The large contact area ensures a solid connection without dropouts.
- Durability: Withstands significantly more connect/disconnect cycles than the Tamiya connector.
